Nach der Flucht vor ihrem brutalen Vater wächst sie in der Harvest Zone Sieben auf, immer in Angst vor den Schergen und dem Drachenwandler des Königs. Als sie eines Nachts erst nach der Sperrstunde nach Hause kommt, gerät sie ins Visier der Unterdrücker und wird mit den Rebellen in Zusammenhang gebracht.Eine spannende und gut erzählte Geschichte der zwei Autorinnen, etwas übermässig brutal, weniger wäre mir lieber gewesen, aber mit guter Charakterbeschreibung und nachvollziehbaren Gefühlen. Ich bin gespannt auf den nächsten Teil, in dem die Vorgehensweise der Mutter hoffentlich erklärt wird.
This is just a poorly written bunch of babbling that could have been a real nice story. The idea is really interesting, but it seems like the author is just grabbing at ideas as she goes along. The dialogue is lazy and predictable. Pass it by; you're not missing anything. Worst 10.95€ I've ever spent on three books. I'm in the middle of the second book in this trilogy and will be deleting all three from my Kindle now. I wish I could undo this purchase. I'm also confused as to how so many five star ratings come together here.
I really loved this story, it isn’t the normal happy story you read in almost every book, I would have loved a little more darkness, but that is my taste. It was well balanced and I didn’t find any moment that you would think, ‘o hey this is another writer.’ It was seamless. I love the characters, Lord Irrik is great, a mysterious, annoying, frustrating and a little distracted Drae/human and Ryn she is just a girl, nothing really special, oke only what she is, still she is like you or me. I felt connect to her, I hope that you will feel the same. I read that readers found her a little too young sometimes, I could see that, still she is seventeen and I’m twenty seven and I think like that sometimes (please don’t blame me for feeling young). I’m really curious about book two, and hated that it will not arrive until February 8th. Long long wait here. If you want to read something different, a nice read and a book that sucks you in (it happened to me) then this is something you want to read.Go check it out on our website underthebookmark
FULL HOUSE!Look I am gonna be honest with you I have never read anything like this.Who knew dark fantasy was a thing? Why didn’t I know this ðŸ˜?? I SHOULD have known this! Okay, okay, back on track, Josie 🤦ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸I was tremendously captivated by this story. The characters were dark, intriguing and so complex.Ryn was so nice to follow. So strong and kind and her sassy comments were to die for.The whole idea behind the Drae and Phaetyns are insanely good. I NEED more of these kind of things !And don’t get me started on Lord Irrik! I want to punch that Drae right in the face, but at the same time I want to add him to my book boyfriends 😂😂 Meeeeessed up, I know.(Okay, I am gonna be honest, he is on my B.B.-list - come DRAGON SHIFTER, guys! 🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸)Ryn lives with her mother. She lives in a starved world where a cruel king controls the world with an iron fist by the help of a Drae. A Drae is a dragonshifter, a dragonshifter bound to the King by a blood oath to do his bidding.Ryn finds herself captive by the King and she tries desperately to find a way out. Can she do it?
I was very suprised by this book and happily so,It was just what I needed, the main character was good, a little young sounding at times but I think this was more to do with the time. She was easy to relate to and I found her easy to connect with.I loved the setting of the story with a old school kingdom feel that I love with fantasy novels, I would have liked to see more of where Ryn lived but I can forgive that for her circumstances.I really enjoyed the dark Irrik and the king it was cool to see that relationship and the way the kingdom was, can't go wrong with a bad boyThe only reason its not 5 is because I needed more, more of an umph more information which I'm sure to get in the next book
Auch wenn es nicht immer ganz die Leichte Kost ist, hat mir die Mischung aus Endzeit/Fantasy/Drachen/Romanze gut gefallen.Kurzweilig und flüssig zu lesen. Ich bin zwar kein großer Fan von Mehrteilern aber hier werde ich den nächsten Teil sicher lesen.
